Your Skipper

Hi, I am Martin Dauner, your Skipper.

My passion for the sea began at a young age, when I first learned windsurfing. But I grew up in Switzerland, so naturally my skiing skills developed faster. I joined a ski acrobatic troupe and did tours for several years, eventually landing in the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus.

After leaving the circus, I dedicated myself to my first love, the sea.  

I spend time on both sides of the Atlantic and when I can, 

sailing between the two. I enjoy the dramatic coastlines of Brittany, marveling at Cuba’s still pristine corals, the comradery of regattas around Key West.  I have found a new balance in doing yoga at the base of Stomboli, and that the best way to eat is to park the boat at the dock and sample fish at a Croatian restaurant.

I am also an architect. And although this keeps me away from sea at times, it also provides me with a head for details and planning.

I like to share these experiences, and enjoy the new ones that certainly come with each trip I make. I hope to see you at the helm!
