Elba Island, Italy

The island of Elba is a small wonder located 10 km from the Italian coast. It is located in the heart of the Tuscan Archipelago (Parco Nazionale dell'arcipelago Toscano). Elba went down in history when Napoleon was exiled there in May 1814- this visit left a touch of nostalgia in the heart of the inhabitants and a unique cultural heritage.

Among the waters of the Tuscan islands it is not uncommon to see dolphins or whales. The island of Elba is part of the sanctuary Pelagos center for the protection of marine mammals in the Mediterranean.

Elba is covered with a rich variation of vegetation and minerals, embroidering its coastline with a multitude of colors.  Inland, Italian villages with meandering narrow streets and cozy restaurants animate the idyllic scene.  From the mountainous, alternating cliffs, chestnut forests, oaks and umbrella pines, to the small ports, and beaches of white sand or pebbles, the island of Elba will enchant you with its beauty.
